Nissan has been teasing its IMx SUV concept at the recent auto show including the CES 2018 at which I was able to check it out in person myself. However, they were very clear that they had no intentions of taking it into production and it was more to highlight the future of Nissan as a general concept. However, today they have reversed that assumption and announced that they indeed will be taking this into production as a Nissan Leaf SUV. No date was mentioned but it’s rumored that 2020 is the target year.
There are not many specs that Nissan had put out, though at this point it would still be just a speculation and we won’t know the realistic range until closer to the official unveiling. I would assume anywhere from 220 to 250 miles would be reasonable to assume. I’m looking forward to this as Nissan is finally expanding beyond its Nissan Leaf which is still the most sold electric car in the world.
