2017 was the year when most auto makers have realized they have to get on board with electric cars and start creating and investing in the EV technology. One company who could afford to wait was Rolls Royce. They pride themselves in providing old school luxury and nothing says “old school” as gas powered engines. However, Rolls Royce has just announced that they too will be jumping on the electric car band wagon and will convert their fleet to all electric vehicles.
What is especially interesting is that Rolls Royce will be skipping the hybrid car stage and go to fully electric cars right away. Most auto makers have taken the hybrid route to test the market and to compensate of inability to produce fully electric cars with an acceptable range.
This is great news for the electric car movement and I’m looking forward to seeing what Rolls Royce will come up with.
