Tesla to Issue Partial Refunds to Autopilot 2.0 Owners?

According to Electrek, Tesla is ready to settle a lawsuit with owners who have purchased Tesla Model S and Model X cars within the first year of its Autopilot 2.0 update. The lawsuit claims that Tesla promised upcoming features that haven’t made it into the updates until two years after they have purchased the car. It is puzzling, however, that the partial refunds that Tesla will be issuing range from $20 to $280 while the cost of the Autopilot feature was $5,000.

It is unfortunately that Tesla was not able to deliver the promised features to its customers but it is even more unfortunately that it took a lawsuit for them to partially make things right.
